Reflection

Describe any problems or difficulties your group encountered while developing your music video concept and deciding upon music;

We had many minor problems when filming but our main was to try and get all our filming done in time as we all had a lot of things on in the afternoon. We overcame this problem by writing out a table for when people have things on and when we don't and we all come to the conclusion that on Thursdays we were all free until 5:30 so we tried to film all of it in class and on Thursday afternoons.

Explain whether your group effectively used the pre-production and planning templates prior to filming;

The shot list templates really helped our group as we new exactly what we had to film and how long it went for. This helped us because we where able to get straight into the filming without having to make it all up and we could just see what was on our shot list.

Describe whether your group made effective use of their time in class during pre-production. (Did each group member; contribute; have set tasks at all times; know their role in the group etc.)

We all contributed during class time and we got half of our filming done during that classes provided. We had to film in class because we all had such a busy schedule and we had to use all the time we could get for filming and planning.

List some steps your group could (or did) implement to improve in this area;

The main thing that we would have changed if we could do it again was to start filming earlier. This would have made a lot more time to edit during class as we left our editing to the last minute and that left us not being able to hand in something on final cut pro.

Discuss how your group used storyboards, shot-lists and a shooting schedule to assist during the filming making process;

We used our shot list a lot and it really helped us when we went out to film. I honestly believe that storyboards are a waste of time as I have never even looked at my storyboards when I have been out and filmed during the two whole years that I have been doing creative media when we could be filming we had do to storyboards that you don't even use I really don't see the point of them. Our shooting schedule helped us as it meant we could work out what times in the afternoon we could film.

Did your group experience any organisational issues during filming, (i.e. members who were absent or did not contribute; finding suitable times to film; forgetting shot-lists, costumes; not booking equipment etc.) How did you manage or work around these difficulties?

We did have some organisational problems during our process as we left most of our editing to the night before witch was really silly. Most people contributed to it but some people made it really difficult to be bale to film as they had something on every single day of the week and didn't show up to class when we had creative media, this made filming very difficult.

Describe any problems or difficulties you encountered during post-production and editing. These may include; technical difficulties, corrupt or missing files, group related issues. etc;

Madi and I had a huge problem when editing as our final cut pro wouldn't open on our laptop so we where not able to edit the movie in this software but ended up having to edit it in Imovie.

 Are you group satisfied with the final result?

I am very proud of our final result and think that it is the best film I have ever done in creative media because our group worked really well together.

Would like to change any aspects of your music video or its original concept?

No I would not change anything to our music video.

If you could start the project again what would you do differently?

if I could do it again I would just give myself more time to film instead of wasting it all on planning

Was it easier planning, filming and managing your time during this project than your first film? Why?

Yes it was a lot easier as we learned from our mistakes during our last film.

Did your treatment accurately reflect your video or were the substantial differences between the concept and final product?

Yes my treatment was very similar to the end result of my film as we where aiming for a very bright and happy music video and I think we really achieved that.
